Home textile products are essential items in every household, and as people’s living standards improve, they increasingly place greater emphasis on the quality and craftsmanship of these products. In China, the primary consumer demand in this industry stems from replacement purchases, accounting for 40% of total consumption. Such daily replacements represent a rigid, indispensable need. In addition to this, there’s also demand for wedding group-buying gifts or housewarming gifts—these fall into the category of ostentatious consumption, making up about 20% of total demand and can be considered a form of soft home decoration.

Judging from current development prospects, the entire textile industry is performing quite well and is experiencing relatively rapid growth. As a sub-sector within home textiles, bedding products account for one-third of the industry’s total industrial output, and their growth potential is equally vast. In developed countries, household textiles—along with apparel and industrial textiles—each occupy roughly one-third of the textile industry’s total market share. In contrast, in our country, the proportion of household textiles, apparel, and industrial textiles stands at 12:80:8, a gap that is strikingly pronounced and clearly indicates significant room for future growth.
